Overview

Everything you need to master Storify — from your first sign-in to power-user shortcuts. Pick a chapter below or jump straight in.

Chapter 01 · Getting Started

Sign in & first-run setup

Get into Storify in under a minute. Fresh installs ship with sensible defaults so you can start selling on day one.

  1. 1

    Open the admin dashboard

Visit /admin in any modern browser, or install Storify as a PWA from the address bar for an app-like experience.

  2. 2

    Sign in with your credentials

Use the email and password created during installation. Vendors, staff, and sellers receive their invite from the admin during onboarding.

  3. 3

    Complete your profile

Add your avatar, contact details, and notification preferences from Settings → Profile so your team can reach you.

  4. 4

Pick your theme, language & currency

Toggle light or dark mode in the topbar. Set the workspace language (15+ supported, including RTL/Arabic) and default currency from Settings → Localization.

Pro tip

Install the Storify PWA on desktop or mobile — you'll get push notifications for new orders and offline access to your dashboard.

Chapter 02 · Dashboard

Your daily command center

The dashboard surfaces what needs your attention today — revenue, fresh orders, low stock, vendor activity, and AI agent conversations.

Live KPI cards

Total revenue, orders, customers, and active vendors update in real time as transactions land.

Sales & traffic charts

Compare current month against last month with drill-downable revenue, traffic, and conversion graphs.

Activity feed

New orders, vendor signups, low-stock warnings, and AI agent escalations — all in one stream.

Global search

Press / anywhere to jump to a product, customer, order, vendor, or page.

Chapter 03 · Catalog

Build your storefront catalog

Organize categories, products, variants, media, and mega menus in one place. Every product gets its own SEO-ready page with rich media and reviews.

  1. 1

    Create categories & mega menus

Go to Catalog → Categories. Build a nested category tree, then design Mega Menus for the storefront header with featured collections and promo blocks.

  2. 2

    Add a product

Catalog → Products → New. Set title, slug, price, stock, SKU, brand, and category. Fill SEO meta for indexable product pages.

  3. 3

    Configure variants & media

Add variants (size, color, material) with per-variant pricing and stock. Upload images, videos, and optional 3D models for an interactive product viewer.

  4. 4

    Set inventory & visibility

Track stock per variant, mark products draft, scheduled, or published, and define delivery rules straight from the product editor.

Stock guards orders

Out-of-stock variants are automatically hidden from checkout. Storify prevents oversells across the storefront and POS in a single inventory pool.

Chapter 04 · Vendors

Run a single store or full marketplace

Storify supports both single-vendor stores and full multi-vendor marketplaces. Approve sellers, set commissions, and pay them out — all from one place.

  1. 1

    Choose your commerce model

From Settings → Marketplace, switch between single-vendor and multi-vendor mode. In single mode, all products belong to the main store.

  2. 2

    Approve vendor signups

New sellers register from the storefront and land in Vendors → Pending. Review their store name, brand, and documents before approval.

  3. 3

    Configure commissions

Set platform commission globally or per-vendor. Storify auto-deducts your share from every order and tracks vendor balances.

  4. 4

    Process payouts

Vendors request payouts from their dashboard. Approve and record settlements manually or via your connected gateway.

Chapter 05 · Orders

Order lifecycle, end to end

Capture, process, ship, and refund orders without leaving Storify. Every status change is logged and notifies the customer automatically.

  1. 1

    An order is placed

Storefront, POS, and PWA orders all flow into Orders → All. Each one carries items, customer, shipping, payment status, and vendor breakdown.

  2. 2

    Process & fulfill

Mark items packed, attach tracking numbers, and split fulfillment across vendors when needed. Customers see live status in their account.

  3. 3

    Capture payment

Online gateways capture automatically. Cash-on-delivery and manual orders can be marked paid once the funds arrive.

  4. 4

    Refunds & cancellations

Issue partial or full refunds in a click — Storify reverses payment via the original gateway and restocks the inventory.

Customers stay in the loop

Order confirmation, shipping, and refund emails are sent automatically. Customize templates from Settings → Notifications.

Chapter 06 · POS

Sell in person with built-in POS

Storify's POS shares the same catalog, customers, inventory, and reports as your online store — no separate database, no sync headaches.

  1. 1

    Open the POS terminal

Sign in as staff and open /pos. Search products by name, SKU, or barcode and add them to the active cart.

  2. 2

    Look up the customer

Attach an existing customer or create a walk-in profile on the fly. Order history and loyalty follow them across web and POS.

  3. 3

    Take payment

Accept cash, card, or manual entry. Print or email the receipt — inventory updates in real time across the storefront.

  4. 4

    Close the day

Review per-terminal sales, cash drawer totals, and refunds from the POS report card in the admin dashboard.

Chapter 07 · Payments

Accept payments globally

Storify ships with Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, and cash-on-delivery. Enable the gateways you need and let buyers checkout in their preferred currency.

Five gateways out of the box

Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, and COD — toggle each one from Admin → Settings → Payments.

Automatic transaction log

Every charge, refund, and webhook event is recorded against the related order with a full audit trail.

Multi-currency checkout

Buyers browse and pay in market-friendly currencies. Configure conversion and rounding rules from Settings.

Finance reports

Monthly revenue, gateway breakdown, refund rate, and tax summaries — exportable as PDF or CSV.

Webhook URLs required

Configure the webhook URL for each enabled gateway (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack) so payment statuses sync correctly. See Docs → Payments for the exact endpoints.

Chapter 08 · AI Sales Agent

Convert shoppers with a built-in AI agent

Storify's AI Sales Agent answers product, payment, and delivery questions, recommends items, and guides shoppers toward checkout — 24/7.

Storefront chat widget

An embeddable assistant appears on every page. It understands your catalog, policies, and shipping rules.

Smart product recommendations

The agent suggests products based on the buyer's intent, browsing history, and category context.

Conversation inbox

Review every AI conversation from Admin → AI Agent. Jump in manually whenever a buyer needs a human touch.

Tone & guardrails

Tune the agent's personality, knowledge base, and forbidden topics so it always represents your brand correctly.

Chapter 09 · Reports & Analytics

Decisions backed by data

Drill into revenue, traffic, conversion, top products, and vendor performance. Connect Google Analytics or Plausible for richer attribution.

Sales performance

Revenue, orders, AOV, and conversion rate across any time range — split by storefront, POS, or vendor.

Top products & categories

See your best sellers, slow movers, and category trends to plan inventory and promotions.

Financial reports

Tax-ready summaries, vendor commissions, and refund reports — ready for your accountant.

Export anywhere

Every report exports to PDF, CSV, or Excel. Schedule weekly digests to your inbox if you prefer.

Chapter 10 · Settings & Roles

Tune your store

Manage team members with granular roles, configure languages, currencies, RTL, branding, and integrations — all from one place.

Roles & permissions

Invite admins, staff, vendors, sellers, and accountants. Each role has scoped access to modules and actions.

Role-based access control

Lock down sensitive areas (Payments, Vendor Payouts, Settings) to specific roles only.

15+ languages & RTL

Switch storefront and admin between supported languages. Arabic and other RTL locales work out of the box.

Theme & branding

Toggle dark mode, set brand colors, upload logos, and customize homepage sections from the Theme CMS.

Chapter 11 · Mobile & PWA

Sell from anywhere

Install Storify as a Progressive Web App for app-like performance, offline access, and push notifications on every device.

  1. 1

    Install the PWA

On Chrome/Edge, click the install icon in the address bar. On iOS Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.

  2. 2

    Enable push notifications

Allow notifications when prompted to receive instant alerts for new orders, low stock, and AI agent handoffs.

  3. 3

    Work offline

Recently viewed admin and POS screens stay accessible without a connection — changes sync once you're back online.

Customer-friendly

Encourage shoppers to install the storefront PWA so they receive order, shipping, and promo notifications instantly.

Chapter 12 · Tips & Shortcuts

Power-user productivity

A few shortcuts and habits that will help you fly through Storify every day.

Press / to search

Global search jumps to any product, order, customer, or vendor in one keystroke.

Duplicate products

Use the Duplicate action on any product to spin up a similar one — perfect for variant lines and bulk launches.

Use roles religiously

Don't share admin accounts. Create per-person staff and vendor roles so audit trails and payouts stay correct.

Need help? Open a ticket

Use the in-app support module — we typically respond within one business day.
